Not to be confused with the newer Corvette of a similar name, the Ray 9.

The Ray is a classic American sports car added in the Balance Update, alongside the Deja. It is located at the Crime Port and costs 25,000 to purchase.

The Ray, among other vehicles, was retired in the 2026 Live Event & Update.

Overview

Being a sports muscle car from the 1970's, the Ray's performance doesn't quite match up to the supercars of today. However, it still holds up in some regards as being better than a handful of civilian cars, and isn't necessarily a bad purchase. However, there are better performing cars that can be bought for cheaper, and it requires engine upgrades to stay competitive.

Performance

The Ray's performance is on-par with many civilian vehicles in the game. It accelerates a bit quicker than the Camaro. It has phenomenal handling. The braking and reverse speed are rather good, and the off-roading is average.

Overall, while the Ray does not offer anything remarkable in its performance, it is still a good vehicle for its price.

The Ray can reach a top speed of 170 MPH. It's faster than the Cybertruck and Boxer, however, it is behind the La Matador.	Average reverse speed, easily beats some general vehicles and the Tesla vehicles. It can reach 57 MPH.

Has a noticeable burst of speed upon launch. Comparable to Sentinel. It can reach 48 MPH in single second.	Acceleration is insanely slow. It reaches top speed in around 35 seconds. This is too bad given the relatively low speed of the vehicle.
Handling Incredible	Off-roading Decent
Handling is amazing. It can turn at high speeds and can perform turns in the City easily. One of the best handling cars in Jailbreak for its category.	High suspension does not increase ground clearance by much, but it is stable while driving over rough terrain. It can climb over obstacles decently well, but loses speed while doing so.
Braking Excellent	Durability Great
It can come to a full stop in about one and a half seconds.	The Ray has the standard durability of 100 health and a 7.5-second regeneration time. Ram Slowdown Duration/Pit Manuever Cooldown: 1s

Trivia

• The Ray is based on the C3 Corvette Stingray.
  • Its name comes from its model name: Sting ray.
    • Additionally, its default license plate, "STING", is a reference to its real-life counterpart.
• When the Semi's spawn was re-added in the Dream Homes Update, the Ray's spawn was slightly adjusted to make distance between the two.

• The Ray is the fifth Chevrolet-branded vehicle in Jailbreak, first being the Camaro, second being the Pickup, third being the SUV, fourth being the Ambulance and sixth being the Ray 9.
• The Ray is the sixth car to have had a fictional vehicle name since its implementation, after the Deja, Surus, Volt, Arachnid and the Torpedo.
