The Sloop is one of the 1,000,000 vehicles in Jailbreak, and the only watercraft to cost 1,000,000. It was added in the Ocean/Ships 3 Years Update on April 4, 2020.

Overview

The Sloop is located in the Pirate Hideaway, behind a waterfall east of the red suspension bridge, Rising City Airport and the Power Plant. It is far away from most major map locations.

Players can climb up to the crow's nest on the Sloop by the shroud leading to it.

Ghost Variant

The Sloop will transform into a ghost ship if sailed near the sunken ship at the Bounty Island during a rainstorm. This is an easter egg that was added in the Nukes Update.

The ghost variant of the Sloop is made of green wood and tattered sails. After the ship transforms, a pirate sound effect and an audio file from the Spongebob SquarePants episode Shanghaied featuring the Flying Dutchman will play.

Performance

The Sloop has the slowest top speed, the second worst reverse speed in-game, the worst being Jet Ski, worst launch speed and horrible acceleration. The handling of the ship is also easy to use and handles best in an open, large body of water.

Overall, the Sloop is not meant to be for performance, and instead is simply a vehicle meant for fun and collecting. If one wants a vehicle for grinding and practical purposes, the Sloop should be at the bottom of their list.

At 62 MPH, it is the slowest vehicle in Jailbreak, being even worse than the Crew Capsule, ATV and Tank.	Reverse speed is insanely bad. The reverse speed of all vehicles except the Jet Ski, beats that of the Sloop. It reaches only 21 MPH.
Launch Abysmal	Acceleration Abysmal
It only reaches 6 MPH. The slowest launch in the game.	It reaches top speed in 17 seconds. Given the tremendously low top speed, the acceleration is just abysmal.
Handling Mediocre	Braking Decent
Turning ability isn't the best, though decent for a ship of such size. It may not be as maneuverable as the Jet Ski, however, it is similar to the Cruiser, being able to turn with ease.	Slowing down to a complete stop may take a few seconds. It is not quite on the level of the Cruiser, but is better than the Jet Ski. It takes around two to three seconds to make a full stop.
Durability Phenomenal
With a health of 300, the Sloop is the most durable out of all vehicles in the game, beating even the Goliath, Bank Truck and Tank's 200 by a long shot. However, unlike those vehicles, the Sloop does not do reduced damage to the sailor.

Strategies

These strategies rarely occur due to their silly nature, but may become useful if other players cooperate:

• Due to the large size and health of the sloop, players can use it to shield their helicopter during flight, from ground-based attacks, like the guided rocket launcher or sniper.
  • The Sloop will not drop from the rope when it is disabled by any means.
  • This also works on the Cargo Ship’s rocket turrets.
• The Sloop can also be used as a portable firing platform by either the police, criminals, or both teams (assuming that it is a coordinated group), allowing anyone to shoot, snipe, and/or bomb other players while staying on high ground.
  • Smoke bombs dropped from the Sloop are also effective at causing panic.
• These strategies require 2 and 3 players at minimum respectively.
  • These strategies are often effective where there are large groups of either team, and have a side effect of often causing confusion for the players below, both due to not knowing where the damage is coming from, and the unexpected presence of a flying boat in the sky.
    • It is worth noting that the shadow of the Sloop may also add to the confusion, but no proper instance of it occurring has been documented.

Trivia

• The Sloop is the slowest vehicle in the game
• Like other boats and planes, the Sloop cannot play audio using the Car Stereo Gamepass. Players can still select the pre-selected soundtracks by Badimo from the free radio.
• If players stand on top of the nest while the Cargo Ship is nearby, the Cargo Ship's missiles will most likely miss every shot. This happened once to a YouTuber named DatBrian.
• Shown in a tweet by asimo3089, the Sloop could glitch and travel on land at one point like the Jet Ski.
  • This was patched during testing.
  • However, this glitch can be recreated if a player enters the Sloop and presses "Spacebar" immediately afterward. As doing so makes the Sloop jump repeatedly, the vehicle will be able to be driven on land, and can controlled by changing the direction where the player's camera is looking.
• This is the slowest million dollar vehicle in Jailbreak.
• This vehicle could theoretically hold all thirty players in a server due to its massive size; however, there is only one seat (the driver's seat) and other players are not anchored onto the ship when moving.
• One can carry the Sloop through the air by using an aerial vehicle which has a rope.
  • Additionally, the Jet can be jammed in between the sails and the shroud to fly around with the ship.
• The Sloop can just barely complete the Power Plant robberies when perfectly planned and performed.
• In a miscellaneous update, the Sloop's handling was broken, causing it to consistently wobble due to an unknown reason.
  • This was fixed after the Return of 5 Days 5 Vehicles Update.
• If you customize the window color option on the Sloop, the sails change color.

• The word "sloop" is used to refer to a sailing ship with a single mast in real-life.
• The Sloop is the fifth 1,000,000 vehicle to be added to the game, after the Monster Truck, Black Hawk, Volt and Jet, before the Drone, Trailblazer, Tank and the now-removed Blade.
• Additionally, this is the first and only 1,000,000 water vehicle added to the game so far.
• The Sloop is the second 1,000,000 vehicle not to spawn at the 1M Dealership, after the Jet and before the Tank.
• The Sloop is the third water vehicle to be added in Jailbreak, after the Jet Ski and Cruiser and before the Speed Yacht.
• The Sloop is the first vehicle to have reactive decoration, containing lanterns that dangle around on ropes and working cloth physics for the sails as the ship moves.
• The Sloop is the second vehicle to be able to activate the Bounty Bridge, after the Cruiser.
• The Sloop is the largest and tallest vehicle in Jailbreak, taking the title away from the Black Hawk.
  • The Cargo Ship is bigger than the Sloop, but this does not apply as players cannot drive it.
