The Snake is a limited-time vehicle in Jailbreak, and was modeled by oof_ed.^[1]Costing 649,000, the Snake was only available for 11 days, from July 1-11, 2022.^[2][3]

Overview

The Snake is based off the McLaren Senna^[4]. One of the vehicle's prominent features is its animated rear spoiler, which tilts up while slowing down. Another standout point of the vehicle are its side mirrors (something only two other vehicles have), and its very detailed interior, having an accurate screen, a unique steering wheel, and climate control vents, just like the Javelin.

The Snake could be seen on a pedestal in front of the 1M Dealership while it was available. According to asimo3089, it was supposed to be available for only 7 days.^[5] As it has gone off-sale, the only way to obtain it is via trading. Owners of the Snake could not trade it away until it went off-sale.^[6]

Performance

The Snake delivers high-end performance, which is expected from its price tag. While the vehicle's top speed is not as high as the Airtail, the McLaren brethren, costing only 649,000 it is by no means slow, reaching a top speed of 240 MPH. Combined with its powerful launch, its handling is more responsive and the off-roading is slightly better than the Airtail, which balances this tradeoff.

Compared to other hypercars, the Snake has phenomenal handling. Like the MCL36, the Snake has a sharp turning radius compared to other vehicles. Another remarkable feature is its off-roading, which is among the best of all supercars. It can drive up mountains and has no trouble clearing some of the steepest terrain on the Jailbreak map.

Overall, the Snake can be best summed up as having a moderate supercar's top speed paired with its top-tier handling.

However, once it gets closer to the top speed, acceleration starts slowing by quite a bit.
Handling Phenomenal	Off-roading Incredible
Handling is phenomenal- One of the best of any vehicle in game due to it's 1.68 turnspeed. Comparable to the Roadster.	It has an overall good ground clearance and can easily get over hills and mountains. With high suspension, it can drive straight up 75-85° hills, and it has among the best off-roading of any vehicle in Jailbreak. Even when scaling walls, the Snake never tends to bounce around compared to other offroading-specific vehicles like the Trailblazer.
Braking Phenomenal	Durability Decent
It takes a little less than a second to fully stop and is comparable to the Airtail, Mighty and Megalodon. It is beaten by the Roadster.	The Snake has 75 HP, which is below average, and the standard disable duration of 7.5 seconds. Identical to the Concept and many other hypercars. Ram Slowdown Duration/Pit Manuever Cooldown: 2s

Trivia

• Prior to its release, the Snake was planned to be on sale for 749,000. It was only later when asimo3089 changed his mind and decided to lower its price. ^[7]
• The Snake is among the various vehicles named after an animal, following the Raptor, Stallion, Black Hawk, Little Bird, Jackrabbit, Badger, and the Megalodon.
• As shown in oof_ed's submission post, its original name was "Tribute", rather than "Snake".^[4]
• Before the Snake was made unobtainable, it was untradeable in the Trading Island.

Miscellaneous trivia

• The Snake is the fourth McLaren-based vehicle to be added to the game, after the Megalodon, Airtail, MCL36 and before the Power-1.
  • Interestingly enough, all existing McLaren-based vehicles are either retired or limited, with the Snake being no exception.
• The Snake is the second in-game vehicle to be modelled by oof_ed, after the Jackrabbit and before the Shell Classic, revamped Black Hawk, Javelin and Power-1.
  • This is the also the first McLaren modelled by oof_ed, before the Power-1.
• The Snake is the second vehicle with an active spoiler. The first vehicle being the Macaron.
  • The spoiler activates when the car brakes/slows down.
  • The Snake is also the 6th supercar without the ability to change the spoiler, after the Torpedo, M12 Molten, Beignet, MCL36 and Macaron.
• This car's real name, the McLaren Senna, is named after McLaren's now-deceased F1 racecar driver, Ayrton Senna.
• On the right side of steering wheel there is oof_ed avatar image - shrinch (mix of shreck and grinch), like on Javelin, Power-1 and his other creations.
