The Revolver is one of the weapons in Jailbreak. It was added in the Gun Skins Update on March 8, 2020.

The Revolver can be found at the Rising City Gun Shop, Crown City Gun Shop, Mountainside Town Gun Shop, Prison Gun Shop and the Military Base. It can be obtained for 10,000.

Overview

The current model of the Revolver consists of a cylinder with six chambers of ammo, a trigger case, and an overly wide barrel to make it a revolver; it does not have a trigger. Its previous model vaguely resembled a flare gun with a flintlock pistol handle, which was changed in a later update.

The Revolver's model appears to be based on a mixture of the Colt Anaconda Python and Smith & Wesson Model 29, judging from its large and short cylinder, in perspective of viewing, and barrel cutouts of the in-game model.

The Revolver was revamped in the Apocalypse Part 2 Update, featuring a new model with new sound.

Performance

The Revolver is considered one of the most powerful weapons in Jailbreak. It deals a health damage of 25 per shot, along with a decent bullet velocity. This makes the weapon a four-shot kill at any range (five if including constant health regeneration).

The Revolver also features great accuracy, allowing medium or long-range shots to be made without much difficulty, assuming that the user or target is not moving and bullet-drop is accounted for. Although the Pistol is much better and easier to use for long distances.

However, its high health damage output and range are tempered by high recoil, and the low capacity of six rounds. Its recoil requires good aim and as well placing your crosshair well to land your shots with the bullet drop.

To negate the recoil significantly, aiming down sights helps well for recoil control and allows the player to hit shots better.

For Criminals, this double-action Revolver is great at eliminating Cops with ease, and makes a good combo weapon alongside the Flintlock and the AK-47. The Revolver also is an awesome weapon that mows down the Bandits from Airdrops, due to their lower health than normal players.

For Police, the Revolver is great at shooting down both ground and aerial vehicles. Dealing 25 damage to vehicles, the Revolver allows Police officers to shoot down the majority of the vehicles in 3-4 shots in just a few seconds, depending on the vehicle's health. Not only that, 4 quick shots to a fully healthy target leads to the target be on just few health points. Due to the passive health regeneration of all players, the Revolver isn't fast to fully kill a target with 4 shots due to this mechanic, making slowing down and catching up to Criminals very good.

Compared to the Pistol, the Revolver is well-liked for its bigger damage and the overall style of the weapon. Players often consider the Revolver to be a good alternative to the Pistol.

Tips and Tricks

• The Revolver does a lot of damage, but its ammunition storage and fire rate is low. When using it, aim carefully, since recoil on this weapon is quite high.
• Do not spam click with this gun, since the recoil will derail the player's aim and prompt them to fire at other spots.
• For the Police team, the weapon is recommended to take advantage of a player's healing to slow them down, which allows more time to approach and arrest them.
• For the Criminal team, the weapon is recommended to be used in conjunction with high-damaging weapons, like the Flintlock and Sniper Rifle, to take down enemies quickly.
  • Slowly shoot the criminal being chased four times. This ensures that the criminal will lose a tremendous amount of health, but they will not be killed due to regeneration (four shots do 100 damage). The police can then taze them when they are slowed and then perform an arrest.

Trivia

• Around a week before the Gun Skins Update, the Revolver meshes made by asimo3089, along with the meshes of the Plasma Pistol, Pistol, and the Eclaire, was leaked by FackerPL on Twitter.
  • This information was spread by Roblox YouTubers MyUsernamesThis and KreekCraft, which gained more attention from players.
• Prior to the Fall 2020 Update, the Revolver spawned in the Museum and could be obtained for free. This was changed to its current spawn locations, and the weapon now costs 10,000.

Miscellaneous Trivia

• This, along with the Pistol, Plasma Pistol and the Flintlock are the only handguns in Jailbreak.
• This was the second weapon to be announced for the March 2020 Update.
• Its bullets are orange, as seen in the chamber, unlike most weapons, which are yellow.
• This is the first and only weapon so far to have a proper reloading animation, where the chamber is moved and rounds are inserted, then the chamber is spun before inserting it back into the gun.
• The revamp version of the Revolver design is according to the first-person shooter survive game Half-Life 2 known as the .357 Magnum (Colt Python).
• The Nerf Revolver, along with the Nerf Pistol are the only two weapons which cannot be stored upon the gun racks of Dream Homes, presumably to prevent non-owners from obtaining the weapon.
