Rusty is an NPC added to Jailbreak in the 2023 Prison Update and can be found in the Prison.
Overview
Rusty is located inside the cell block, on the leftmost prison cell from the entrance. Rusty can be interacted with and will tell the player that he is hungry. If the player brings him a Donut from the Cafeteria, Rusty will give the player an item. (There is a chance he will give you nothing, which is included in Rusty's voice lines). Players can approach Rusty with a Donut three times before the game stops them, saying that they have already exchanged the maximum amount of Donuts. If one gets arrested or resets themselves, after 30 seconds, the donut counter gets reset to allow the player to escape again. This allows prisoners to reset the counter by resetting themselves, although it is a lengthy process to escape this way. Only Prisoners are allowed to interact with Rusty.

Trivia
- asimo3089 confirmed Rusty's name on Twitter, as well as saying that he "has been here since 2017" (Jailbreak's release year) and that "he likes to talk", referencing his ability to hold conversations with players. [1]
- Rusty's name could refer to them being an old inmate because they have been stuck in the prison for a long time.
- Rusty's cell is a replica of the old Prison cells before the 2023 Prison Update. This alludes to Rusty's status as an old inmate, having been imprisoned since 2017.
- Sometimes, Rusty will say "I really need this donut, been in here since 2017." This means he took your donut and didn't give you anything. This still counts as an exchange, annoying some prisoners.
- Rusty is one of the only NPCs that can not be killed using the Plasma Pistol.
- Rusty does not wear the same Attire as other Prisoners. Although this is unviewable to players, the back of his inmate shirt reads "County Prison".
- Though he does say "I have been here since 2017", he has only been added in the 2023 Prison Update.
